Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery Hongkong

Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery Hongkong

Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery Hongkong 萬佛寺
The Miu Fat Buddhist Monastery, which is worth a visit by both followers of this religion and ordinary tourists, is known primarily for the Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda, built in 1980. Three large gilded statues of Buddha and thousands of his images, which gave the monastery its name, are located in the richly decorated main hall. The magnificent three-storey building houses a Buddhist monastery and the Courtyard of the Jade Buddha, and the main gate is decorated with a 20-meter-high column with carved gilded dragons. The upper floor of the monastery is a Lotus Temple, which can already be recognized from afar by its shape, resembling a blooming lotus flower. A vegetarian restaurant is also available.
