Double-decker tram in Hong Kong is the pride of Hong Kong!
Since 1904. 7 lines, 13 km of tracks. There are 167 trams in total.
Be sure to take the tram at least from the Central area to Wanchai – it’s all in a straight line.
It’s best on weekdays – it’s easier to find a place on the 2nd floor and enjoy the ride. It’s also very cool in the evening!
There is no need to pay at the entrance. Only when exiting. It is best to pay with an Octopus card.
The price is 2.6 HKD. For children 1,3 HKD. For pensioners 1,2 HKD

A modern tram or LRT is operating in the New Territories.
There are 12 routes in total.
Conventional single-deck trams are used as rolling stock, including those coupled to two-car trains.
Traffic on the first 5 LRT routes was opened on September 14, 1988.
The network connects two districts – Tuen Mun and Tin Shui Wai.
The last batch of wagons arrived in Hong Kong in 2020. The LRV Phase V wagons are built at the CRRC Nanjing Puzhen factory in China.
This is the second tram facility in the world with only the “left” door arrangement (the first one in Calcutta)
is important!
Validators are located at the tram stop, to which you must attach your ticket or Octopus transport card. The same operation must be performed at the end of the trip.
