Although it is located on Hong Kong Island, there are significantly fewer people on it than on other beaches in the Stanley area. The beach is very much loved by expat foreigners who are not familiar with the constant Chinese hubbub. The beach is protected by an anti-shark net, and there are lifeguards on the shore. In summer, there is a small shop where you can buy food and soft drinks. There are also toilets, showers, a barbecue area and rooms where you can change clothes. The water near the shore is clean.

You can walk from the bus stops to the beach through the village (about 800 meters)
