The golf club, located on the Sai Kung Peninsula in a picturesque location, has three 18-hole courses offering magnificent views of the Sai Kung Nature Reserve and the South China Sea.
Here, players will share 250 hectares of golf courses with eagles, herons and even deer, sometimes running out onto the grounds.
This Hong Kong Golf Club has excellent instructors and facilities including driving ranges, electric cars, a golf shop, and landscape restaurants, making it ideal for corporate events or private events.

And now my experience

On April 21, 2026, I took a taxi to Sai Kung Public Pier
I reached berth 3: Jockey golf club pier.
Boats run every 20 minutes from 6.40 am. There is no need to pay upon boarding.
Pre-registration and booking of a time slot are required on the club’s website
www.kscgolf.org.hk (you can also arrive spontaneously, without booking)
It is the only public golf club in Hong Kong.
All the others (EDEN HGC, Shek O, Clearwater bay, etc.) are private, you need to buy a very expensive membership or an invitation from members to play together.

I arrived at the club’s pier in 15 minutes, sailing past Sharp Island.
Then take a minibus to the clubhouse.
You need to go to the checkout right away.
The golf club on the island has several courses:
North (18 holes)
South (18 or 9 holes, Twilight) is a little easier and there are fewer restrictions.
East (18 holes) — more difficult and the views are more picturesque

Important! You need to have Handicap for at least one player.
You can take a non-Handicap player with you to play on weekends after 9 a.m. (only on the South field).
So, at the cashier you show a Handicap, a passport, pay for a boat (round trip), a golf cart (you need to show your Hong Kong driving license, but another country are also okay), rental of clubs and a fee for playing.
In total, about 1700 HKD went out for a 4-hour game on the South course (18 holes).
That’s it, then go opposite to the Rental window, they give you clubs and keys to a golf cart.
You need to go to the right field yourself (you need to know the exact route yourself).
There is no assistant, no service, no staff.
On the south field, the game starts at hole 10. The golf cart has an LCD display with information.
Everything is set to flow and there is a very tight timing.
Each hole is given 10 minutes.
We can finish the game after 9 holes (half a route), which we did.

Everyone took a bus to the pier, 15 minutes and sailed to Sai Kung Public Pier. It took 40 minutes to get to the center of Hong Kong by Uber.
