Big Wave Bay Beach Hong Kong

Big Wave Bay Beach Hong Kong 大浪湾泳滩 (daai6 long4 waan1 wing6 taan1)
It’s a popular surfing spot, and the name speaks for itself.: Big waves!
Really good big waves only happen during strong winds or typhoons.
The beach is located in the southeast of Hong Kong Island on the coast of Big Wave Bay. Despite the fact that the water quality here is not the highest, the beach is very popular, and many people come to it during the bathing season. Thailand has showers, toilets, a barbecue area and changing rooms, as well as shops and a parking lot nearby. Taaylon is the only official beach for surfers, but high waves only occur here during certain months. In the vicinity of the beach, it is worth taking a closer look at the stones — some of them have prehistoric inscriptions similar to those found in Cheung Chau 長洲.
The entrance to the sea is shallow, shallow enough for a long time. The beach is not big, but the sandy area is wide. You can rent a board. Near the beach there are cafes, souvenir shops, Parking. Very beautiful scenery, several interesting places nearby.
