Sheung Yiu folk museum Hongkong
The Sheng Yu Folklore Museum is located in Sheung Yu Village, declared a Hong Kong monument, on the Pak Tam Chung Nature Trail, Sai Kung, Hong Kong Sheung Yiu means “above the furnace” in Chinese.
It was a Hakka village at the end of the 19th century.
The village and its neighboring lime kiln were declared monuments in 1981.
After it was restored, the village was opened as a museum in 1984.
