


Tung Wan beach Hong Kong Cheung Chau 長洲東灣泳灘 (cheung4 jau1 dung1 waan1 wing6 taan1)
The beach is one of two free public beaches on Cheung Chau Island. It is located on the eastern side of the island, just a hundred meters from the pier. The beach is quite narrow, but long, equipped with everything you need. It has its own showers, toilets, changing rooms, and even a special barbecue area (which is very popular in Hong Kong). The water near the beach is clean, according to the Hong Kong Department of Environmental Protection.

How to get there?
From the central ferry pier, take the ferry departing from Pier 5 (see the ferry schedule).
Travel time is 1 hour.
If you walk straight from the pier on the island, you will get to Tung Wan Beach,
walking along it to the right and bypassing the helipad you will find yourself on the beach Kwun Yam Wan.
