The island’s best beach is located on the edge of the eastern bay, just behind the helipad. Shore and bottom: sand.
The beach is located in the central part of the small island of Cheung Chau. The beach is notable for the fact that you can surf here during certain months. There is also a helipad right next to it, so you can watch the take-off and landing of helicopters from a very close distance. Lifeguards are on duty at the beach during the bathing season; there is also a shark net in the water. The infrastructure is standard – showers, changing rooms and toilets. The beach is relatively secluded, and there are usually few vacationers here.
The beach is 120 m long and 7 m wide
I was here in early 2019. The beach is more secluded than the nearby Tung Wan beach HongKong Cheung Chau

How to get there?
From the central pier in Hong Kong, from Pier 5 by ferry to Cheung Chau Island
Then walk from the pier Cheung Chau Ferry Pier (長洲渡輪碼頭 / cheung4 jau1 dou6 leun4 ma5 tau4): you need to go to the opposite (eastern) side of the island and walk along the coast to the south for about 400-500 meters.
