Stanley Beach Hong Kong 赤柱正灘泳灘 (chek3 chyu5 jing1 taan1 wing6 taan1)
It is located in the Southern District in Stanley district on Hong Kong Island.
It is very long and narrow. The water near the beach is clean; rescuers are on duty all day, and there is an anti-shark net a hundred meters from the shore. The beach will appeal to all water sports enthusiasts, as the Stanley Main Beach Water Sports Centre is located here. You can rent all kinds of equipment there. The beach is popular with winsurfers. The beach is also interesting because it is used annually in June on the day of the Dragon Boat Festival. (龍船節) there is a competition on “dragon boats”.
Stanly beach is light yellow sand, there are many cafes nearby and the famous Stanley Bazaar.
Stanley is an area on the south side of Hong Kong Island with two sandy beaches: a large beach Stanley Main Beach and St. Stephen’s Beach, smaller. The first one is located on the eastern side – due to the large waves, it is popular among windsurfers and ordinary vacationers.
There is a good selection of budget hotels near the beach. However, most of them are not represented in international booking systems.
The beach is 520 m long and, on average, 15 m wide.

How to get there?
Bus 6, 6A, 6X, 66 or 260 from Exchange Square bus terminus (near MTR Hong Kong Station, Exit D.)
or by bus No. 973 from the metro station Tsim Sha Tsui
or
At the Admiralty metro station, before exiting Queensway road, take the bus 6, 6X, 6A, 66, 260 from the South side of the street and get to the Stanley Bus Terminus bus station, from which it is a 5-minute walk to the sea.

or take the Blue Metro line to Causeway Bay station (exit F1), then take minibus 40 at the Causeway Bay Jardine’s Bazaar stop and drive to the Stanley Village stop.

or From the bus terminal at Central Station by bus 6X to the Deep Stanley Village stop
Travel time by bus is 1 hour.

Minibuses 16A, 16M, 16X and 40 to the bus stop «Stanley Main beach‎» (赤柱正灘), which is located 10 m from the beach
Buses 6, 14, 63, 65, 73, 260, 314 and 973 to the bus station «Stanley Village Bus Terminus» (赤柱村巴士總站)
Minibuses 40, 40X and 52 to the bus stop «Stanley Market‎» (赤柱市集)
It is about 300 meters from the bus station and the Stanley Market bus stop to the beach.
