Chi Lin Buddhist Convent is located right among the skyscrapers and serves as an oasis of peace and quiet amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.
Although the monastery is not that old, it can rightfully be included in the list of attractions in Hong Kong that must be seen. This magnificent monastery complex in the style of the imperial Tang Dynasty preserves religious relics and valuable items within its walls, and in its large park full of greenery there is a beautiful lotus pond. But the most famous photograph of this place, which adorns all Hong Kong travel guides, is, of course, the red bridge over the picturesque Nan Lian Garden.
If desired, you can have a snack at the vegetarian restaurant or visit the tea house.
