Why is Hong Kong a bad place to live?
First, the anecdote
A man has died and is deciding where to send him, to heaven or hell.
He asks, can I see both there and there? Everything is as it should be in heaven, I went to see hell. It’s even cooler there, girls, entertainment, alcohol.
He asked to go to hell. He comes in, and he’s immediately on the pitchfork and into the cauldron. When he asked why, the devil said – Don’t confuse tourism with emigration!
So, why is Hong Kong a very bad place to live?
– soulless, cynical people without a heart. Everything is tough, just money and business. The locals have no involvement, sympathy, compassion and understanding from the word at ALL.
– the locals don’t speak English or Chinese Putonghua. They only speak fucking Cantonese.
– the locals despise the Chinese from the mainland and anyone who does not speak their dialect.
– it’s difficult to buy something, there are a lot of trade restrictions (try to buy a Huawei phone, Google phone). Shopping in Hong Kong is bad, only expensive brands, and there is practically nothing simpler at all
– it’s hard to meet a girl (only online for real)
– very very high cost of living (transportation, housing, restaurants, food)
– housing and hotels are terrible, the price tag is exorbitant. I don’t even mention the small size.
– the most expensive gasoline in the world. It’s also impossible to buy a car for yourself, rooms are expensive.
– Few entertainment options. There’s nowhere to go in this cage.
– It is forbidden to sell antibiotics and other medicines in Hong Kong. You see, they take care of the health of their citizens
– the city is firmly stuck in the 90s in terms of its development (infrastructure, finances, attractions)
–
Does Hong Kong have any advantages?
+ the sea. More than 40 beaches. It’s just amazing in July!
+ scenic hiking trails
+ many expat foreigners
+ there are interesting exhibitions, events, concerts
+ affordable flights from Hong Kong Airport
+ Kowloon West Railway Station is one of the best places in Hong Kong, for me) You can take a high-speed train to the mainland (escape from the cage).
